sea of green grow hows it work!!!
ive heard a lot about these sea of green grows and its kinda right up my alley i have small grow space and many little plants
how do you get the plants to grow all the same hieght?
how long do you let the plants veg for?
from what ive read theres only top colas but if you have many its worth it
ive also heard you can harvest every 60 days if everything goes right
i also wanted to know if you can use seedlings when doing this ill have to the first time but the second time will be all cloned females
ive also of heard of flowering plants when real small when doing sog style with clones can this be done with seedlings also with out taking for ever
basicly i need all the details and need to know how to set my box up and what do i need to buy?
please would love any feed back!!!!

read, read, read. There is a ton of information that has been written again and again.
however to answer your questions:
if they are all clones from one mom they should all grow the same in a stable environment.
you can veg as little as seven days from the clippings rooting.
you can harvest in less than 60days if the strain is right.
grow the seedlings into moms and fill your space with clones in 6" square pots.
this can be done with seedlings also but you might have a problem sexing properly??. (High Times had an article recently on 12/12 from seed)
your box like everyone elses here is unique and needs to be designed for the space you will be using. read on temperature control, adequate lighting, ventilation, grow medium, nutrients, problem solving, germination, clipping and harvesting.
I'm just ansering this 'cause you probably wouldn't get much of an answer otherwise. What you ask is asked in every fifth or sixth post. If you have a specific question, posting just the one question will not only help those of us asking the same question get answers, it will help you get answers too.
good luck with your grow, you will find that there are some VERY educated people here that will give you top notch advice that is worth it's weight in pounds.

You can veg 0 days with the clones, I am reasonably certain, at least with some strains. In other words, put clones in little pot, and flower immediately, the same day. I've tried two SOG experiments now, using Nirvana AK-48. The first time I gave them 5 days after potting them, and they're 3.5 feet tall now at day 48 of flowering, even though they were at most 5" tall to start. The second time I gave them a mere 2 days after potting them, and those plants are 31" tall now, not counting the pot, at day 28 of flowering, even though they were like 3" or 4" tall to start and had had only two days to spread their roots before flowering. Freakin' amazing how big they have gotten considering how tiny they were to start.
You're going to have to experiment to find the right point for your height limitations and the strains you are working with. If you are severely height-constrained, I'd suggest flowering them immediately the first time, and work your way up from there if necessary with future crops. If height's not an issue, then it doesn't matter much I guess.

well im gonna try this out with clones and seedlings all plants are now the same hieght not saying they will all grow the same length but when i use the screen how far do i set them from the plants?
and how fay do i set the lights above the screen?
and is an aluuminum screen good for this?

Sea of green and screen of green are two different things. If you're doing sea of green, with many small clones, I don't think you need or want a screen. If you're doing screen of green, with like 1-4(ish) larger plants trained under a screen, I keep the screen about 10"-12" above the soil level, train the screen until it's about 2/3 full during veg, then flower. Then I let the screen fill all the way up before letting the buds straighten up, usually about a week and then I let 'em through (but this is *very* strain-dependent, some strains love to stretch way more than others).
Keep the lights as close as you can without it being too uncomfortable to put your hand where the tops of the plants are. A bit warm is okay, but if it makes you uncomfortably warm, it will the plants too.
I don't think the material of the screen matters much, if at all. I use plastic screening, but I've seen people use coat hangers, metal rods, closet organizers, you name it.

damn i thought you had to use a screen to get those top colas only for many young plants how do you get those plants to grow like that short veg short plant and then flower quick i thought thats what the screen was for now dont even no what to do or how to do to get all those plants with just top cola's???????????????

ok well i googled it and found out scrog is for one ot 2 plants and sog is for many and from what ive read you just pu the lights up and plants close as i possibly can let them grow for 2-3 weeks and then switch to flowering
did i miss anything?
please im kinda running outta time how far is the light spose to be? sence my box is only like 3 ft tall should i just put the light as high as i can get it?

If your box is only 3 feet tall, you need to flower sexually mature clones immediately. (Clones that were taken from a sexually mature female.) That's if you want to try a sea of green.
However, with only 3 feet, I dunno if that'll work very well. My clones, that I flowered at 3" or 4" in height, are now more than 31" tall, not counting the pot, after 29 days of flowering. Counting the pot, they are 3 feet tall. If that happens to you, you'd have 0" for light and space between the light and the plants, which wouldn't work.
So, I recommend Screen of Green. Put your light as high up as you can get it. Create a screen out of whatever, and put that about 8" above the soil line. Then grow your plants until the screen is a bit more than half filled with bud sites. Then flower, and if anything gets too close to the light, tie it off to the side. Once you start flowering, wait until the screen's full before letting them grow vertically, and no matter what, wait at least a week or 10 days because height is going to be an issue. I have a feeling it's gonna be pretty dang tight in there. I'd use two or three plants in smallish pots (small = not tall), but don't use seedlings, just clones of a female, because if they prove to be male, disentangling them from the screen could suck. I'd say just try ONE plant unless you're using seedlings, then I'd go with three, to better the odds of females.
If you *have* to use seedlings, and that 3-foot height is all you can use, then make small screens, instead of just one big screen, and use wire-snipped coathangers and duct tape or whatever to attach a smaller screen to each individual pot. That way, if you get a male you can just pull that pot/plant/screen combo out as a unit.
Hope some of that was helpful. ;)

ok so if i make screens for all my seedlings got it makes better sence that way sence no hieght your so right!!
the only thing i have regular screen a hole lot of really small holes i mean small!!!!!
so do i cut holes big enough for the shoots to come through? if so how big half inch or an inch big?
and when that screen is filled i switch to flowering or half full?
thanx for all the details on this your the best jamstigater
