M.H. light during flowering?

Hello All,
I hope I am not repeating any thread, but I did check first and saw nothing that answered my question specifically. I would appreciate any help...

I was wondering if a 400 watt M.H. light should be removed during flowering. I have a 400 watt HPS on also. I have seen most people here in their grow logs mention their cfls and HPS for flowering, but nothing about anybody leaving their M.H. on during this phase. I now realize that M.H. lights are mostly for vegging due to the light spectrum, but does it harm the flowering stage if left on? It is too late for me to do anything this grow, but next time I will change it up if I am doing it all wrong! :) Also, should I still use the HPS for vegging as well? I am so confused!
