NEED HELP!!!

Ok so i thought with the summer months comming to an end here in Oregon i thought i would try something out but im not sure how its going to work.

I have tried growing outdoors on a back patio and it seems to work only after the plant has been outside for quite some time.
The Patio only gets about 4-6 hours of direct sunlight and then from there only the normal daylight.

I am planning on growing one seed under 1 CFL(unkown W or Lummens yet...) and then moving it up to 2 CFLs and growing through the veg. as long as possible. After doing so i want to move the plant back to natural light outdoors and to finish the flowing stages outside.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Help would be nice.
