Regular smoker experiences enigma

I've really only been smoking for a couple years, but this past summer me and a buddy have been smoking about a gram a day of sticky dank. We smoke about every other day (a gram each), and just take bong rip after bong rip, in rapid succession, holding the smoke for atleast 15 sec. I always get insane munchies, which is a large reason behind why I smoke- but I don't get mindfucked no matter how much I smoke... Until last week.

Same weed. Same amount. Same device. Same technique. Same people.

After smoking about 1 gram of dank between 2 people, I was totally off my ass, cracking up at things I knew weren't funny, combined with a strong sense of unity with the room I was in. I know that this is a textbook reaction for some people, but not me. I've gone through 2 grams of great dank to the face before, and was a mere fraction of the high I experienced.

Does anyone have an explanation?

Perhaps I didn't allow myself sufficient time to recover between sessions? I had basically nothing to eat that day, does that influence a high? The only other thing in my system at the time was a single beer, but I drink and smoke regularly. I usually allow 1 day break between smoking, if that... and this time I think I had a 2 day break. I honestly don't remember if I had a single 2 day break all summer, because friends come to smoke me up all the time.

:confused: I NEED to be able to replicate this consistently!

I haven't smoked for the past week, but I don't want to smoke my 1/4 right now to find out if it's a short term tolerance thing- because I'm going to the mountains on wednesday for a miraculous holiday smokefest.

I've found that having this sort of high is one of the best highs I can have. For me personally, what you described is a complete spiritual experience, and it feels as if all the negative feelings of the past week or so have completely gone away. Just think about what your surroundings were, and try to think of if there was any change in your own 'personal routine' and maybe that's what triggered this sort of high... try and duplicate it.

I think its just because you smoked every day and then took a 2 day break, that will actually make a big difference with your tolerance.

Yeah, that's actually pretty common, I will often smoke the same amount and type of bud with the same people and get ripped way off of my ass, usually due to a short break of 1 to 2 days. Even without a break, this kind of thing can happen, but it's hard to say why really.
