optimal temperature for making THC oil/butter?

well i've been trying to make a coconut oil extract that truly works... I've gone over 230 degress F for 15 minutes and it didn't work. I didn't go higher than lets say 260 F. I thought I might've burnt it up. Well today I tried keeping it at 225 F or lower for 15 minutes since thats the temperature for decarb.. though haven't tried it out to see if it works or not yet. but Im guessing it didn't really. but I'll see.

I was wondering if anyone knew what the optimal temperature for fat absorption for making an oil or butter. did I go too high?
