make a chillum. get a thick dowel. drill a hole in the top to make a bowl. then drill a tiny hole all the way through to suck through. kinda complicated. oh and soak the wood in olive oil. it keeps the wood from burning and i\for me it gives smoother hits. but make sure the oil is all dry before you smoke the chillum. id show a picture but my camera is dunzo
Find a good piece of seasoned hardwood.... oak, pecan, walnut, etc... cut a slab, mark it how your want to drill it and cut it...then start carving untill you get real close to what you want, then go with the sandpaper. Don't worry about the finsh... just get it real smooth and it will get seasoned with use. Just make shure at first you just do one or 2 hits at a time to season and heat harden the bowl. You don't want to char it.
