I'd say keyboard, because I'm not sure if his little 4 year old fingers are strong enough to strum guitar strings. Maybe they make kiddie guitars...you could check it out. Keyboard lessons now, guitar later.
keyboard so he can actually learn the notes and how to read music, then guitar later, but make sure he learns how to play the guitar, its such a useful thing to know.
Thanks
I thought guitar would be too much on his fingers i took lessons for a while but u can get mini kids guitars ive seen them.
aw thats so CUTE
Personally I would get him started on Guitar....if you started hom now he could be amazing by the time hes 14...when hes an adult he might be a famous guitarrist...but I play some Piano, and trumpet too, and it is good to learn the basic note structure though they are fundamentaly different. So...you choose do you want a Mozart or Jimi Hendrix? Guitar Players make more money, I am pretty sure. And yes they make small kids beginner guitars
Take him to a music store a few times and let him try one of each! My son started playing a childrens size guitar at 5 and he was very small for his age. He is 13 now and does not play anymore, I got him one a Toys R Us for about 40 bucks, would have bought a better one if he took to it.
Let him choose! ;)
Id say keyboard now and guitar later, the keyboard will build a foundation of music in him and the guitar is generaly such a flexible instrument.
guitar now for sure plus if you know th guitar u can play the piano
