what happens if you harvest really early other than less yield? The buds are no bigger than my pinky fingernail, but the bottom leaves are dying, and everytime they fall off the next leaf starts to die. They are turning brown and white with little black dots on it. what could it be?
My friend's plant had that from a nute and light problem. It still produced the goods, it's just not extremely potent.
The potency will be greatly affected, but its better to harvest early if your circumstances put you at risk, dont risk problems for a plant.
a friend of mine was in a similar situation, and i just said look, cut them and put them somwhere safe to dry slowly, you can always start over when things are better and there is realy no reason to risk your personal well being.

I had the same problem 2 years ago.
all the fan leafs fell off early on. but much to my suprize it keeped on budding anyway.

in the last pic I was about to harvest. so I had taken about 8 other CLF lights out of the closet so I could get a better pic.

Lower leaves will fall off when they aren't getting a lot of light. The plant will absorb as many nutrients as it can from the leaf, then drop it. It's more efficient to lose a leaf than to keep unnecessary leaves alive. The question is, are the leaves that are getting light doing well?

Oh yeah, and black spots you are describing are probably spidermite eggs, eggs of some pests that are aiding in your plant's death. Those little buggers are munching on it, which is another reason why the leaves are falling off so quickly. This most likely occurs in outdoor grows, or indoor grow rooms that have not been sanitized/sealed off. You COULD go out and buy some bug-killer, but I completely forgot what kind it was best to use on marijuana at the moment, sorry...

One thing though... there's a good chance the black spots are just the natural color of dead leaves. Don't immediately assume you have spider mites unless you see clear evidence of their damage. They make little webs, and they are usually visible to the naked eye. Their damage is usually visible as discolored spots on leaves, and you can see the mites on the underside of those spots.
