It's natural for the leaves to yellow from bottom to top during the flowering period. Just leave them be untill they are fully yellow, and can be pulled off without much pull.
Its fine, only take the ones that are turning yellow, then later on take some of the top ones to let light reach all the bud.
I have snipped off some of the bottom leaves that were yellow, crispy and were obviously dying. It has caused me no problems..
i usualy remove these leaves when you pull down on them a lil bit and if they are nothing they should pull rite off in a downward direction... thats how i have always decided to remove these leaves in and my time i have had very few die.
