hey guys, so i fractured my shoulder today, im going to have to go to the docter...

but my question is, will they do a drug test? i would think not, but i need to be sure...

Probably not, and even if, it's illegal for a doctor to release the results to the police, so even if they did you couldn't get in trouble for it.

How did you fracture it?

i fell off my bike becuase a car backed into me. my shoulder got caught in the handle bars and the bike flew over me, with my shoulder stuck in it, yeah it sucked :(

but dont they like tell your parents and such?

and nah I doubt they would tell your parents if you asked the doctor to keep it confidential. That is, if they even did it at all.

man that sucks about your shoulder. and i was wondering the same thing for my physical but it turned out they don't drug test for those. but if they do i don't think they can tell anyone the results if you ask them not too.

yeah well i was thinking of sueing but it was a old man who i could tell felt REALLY bad, he came out literally crying thinking he was going to jail or something, i dont know i couldnt bring myself to do that.

but so you can just tell them not to say anything? but yeah i was on medication anyway so i asked my dad, he said they wont test you. but also, what about work? they have to tell the employers about the drug test right?

Not unless its a work related injury and the company requests a drug test.If it happened on your own time they will never know.

oh, okay good, but with like retail and fast food places to work at, do they drug test every week? after i heal i'll be starting work, but do most places do frequent drug tests?

no generally just a test at teh beggining. sum do random testing but most just for the interview and if they have suspicion
