Missing rep

Yesterday I received rep from a member.. and its not there now. Not that its really a big deal, but just wondering where it went.

has the member been deleted?

yeah if the member's been deleted that's why...

The same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago. I still had the same amount of points, just the message the member sent me was gone. I think the thread was deleted so....is that why?

No, but I think the thread did, I was also pretty out of it last nite, so I cant rember the name of the thread, but looked and didnt find it. And no the member didnt get deleted.

The person might have been deleted. Its happened to me a few times.

I did not know it was the case that if a member was deleted that you lose Rep that they gave you, surely that is a bit unfair because when they left you Rep they were deemed to be fit and proper persons to be members of the forums and therefore their Rep was justified.
It's no big deal really but seems a bit unfair.

Happens all the time. I got some just the other day and it went, but that's coz the member was a moron.

Rep disappears when the threads on which someone gave you rep get taken down. So there must have been something in or around the post on which you received rep that accounted for its removal. That's one of the realities of rep, I'm afraid. Just continue working to earn more of it!
