only two plants have survived this summer so far and I am very grateful they are of opposite sex
this happens to be my first attempt @ growing, and I am curious as how to increase the quality\quantity of whatever harvest I manage to get @ the end of the season
I know this is a small grow op, but what would be the benefits of keeping or discarding of the male plant?

i'd honestly toss the male, unless of you want seeds for next years grow.. because over all quality is decreased because the plant loses thc producing the seeds
and what can I do with the male, make tea...haha and how do I know when a female plant is ready for harvest??:stoned::stoned::stoned:

There's not too much you can do with the male, and the female will take about 2 months to fully flower from when you start to see DEFINATE signs that she has started to flower.
why are you grateful that they are the opposite sex if you dont want seeds? just curious. save some pollen and only polinate a branch or something, if you leave them next to each other you will get more seeds than bud.
hey mike, it'll be a while 'till u harvest ur plants, but heres how to know when to, fr maximum THC content and a more cerebral high, harvest your plants when a majority of the trichomes on the plants in your garden are a fully milky translucent color. you can only do this with a 50x micro scope or something that allows you to view the trichnomes up close like these pics here Trichomes let me know if this helps
I was happy to have that option, but I honestly dont know what I want to do. They're about 200ft apart so im not taking anything out yet.Quote:
