Flowering ? and a strange white powder

I've been running my lights on a 12/12 cycle for a week now. I think I see a little somethin, but it seems to be on all the plants so I cant tell if its any kind of gender indicator. does anyone see in the first pic anything indicative of gender?

as for the second pic, this white powder seems to be collecting at the base of the plant, and I think its coming from the plant. is this normal?

Hey, I'm not sure about the sex of the plant but I think the white powder at the base is salt build up from the nutrients that you are using... that's what mine looked like with foxfarms after 3 weeks, so I got some clearex and it cleaned them up good. Hope this helps.
