Kidney Stones

Has anyone had em before? I'm sure a few people have. My dads taking Hydrocodone right now and I really don't want him taking that shit, and especially not having it within my reach(I will most likely end up abusing it). Anyways I was wondering if you think some weed would be good for his pain. I have a med recc and he has to buy it so he could just go buy it himself. I don't really think he wants to get the weed high(since I think weed use to give him bad anxiety), so do you guys think if he ate maybe 3/4 of one of my brownies would be good? I've never had kidney stones but it's worth a try....can't hurt anything.;) The only time I get panic attacks from smoking is when I smoke WAY too much indica.I'm more of a sativa person.However you'll want the indica for pain.It relaxes the muscles and helps to relieve swelling from bunched up muscles.But I'd try it.That's far better than filling him up with pills that don't really do much anyway.Good luck to ya! I've had kidney stones three times. I never take pain meds, but what I've been told to do is keep moving, drink plenty of water to help flush it through my system, and just wait for the stone to pass. My stones have been very small. You're a guy, so your tubing is a bit longer in there, and guys can have a rougher time because of that and if they have larger stones. I'd be wary of smoking simply because it adds to the dehydration problem that's already helping you have a proclivity for kidney stones. Are you changing your diet to eliminate stone-o-genic foods and making sure you're drinking lots more water?

This may sound strange but it worked for me one time.......put a speaker on the floor, put on some Black Sabbath, crank the bass and the volume way up and lay your stomach across the speaker. It seemed to break it up a bit because shortly after I passed that bugger. The vibration felt GREAT!!!:thumbsup:

Haha if my dad gets high enough he'd do it, I just got a bass too, with enough practice i'm sure I could play the bass to a song or two. And to BG i've been making sure my dads been drinking lots of water, but he is still taking the hydro too, only when the pain is at its worse though. My main concern was the dehydration too, thats why I am some-what worried about him taking a brownie or something.Lots of the despensaries sell not so great brownies for about 5$ and i'm gonna see if he wants to just buy one and see if that helps. He hasn't been moving around much(doesn't really get much excercise anyways) but i'll see if I can get him to play some basketball or something too. Oh BTW the stone isn't too big, but if it was any bigger they said it would have to be removed surgically. We had to call 911 because at this other doctors office they told us he had a kidney infection and could get kidney failiure, and of course the anti-biotic they made him take must of done something to make the pain worse.

Psy is right moving and water like birdy said I sometimes dance or tia chi and it helps however I think weed is much better than the other pain meds. caus some episodes last for months, scaring and al kinds of things can happen and sound helping to shake the stone might help. After taking opiates or other pain meds you can be sick for a long time after stoping. You might not be in the extream pain you were in but it is still not funn.

id go to the doc and get them motherfuckers zaped those things hurt like a bitch and i tolerate pain very well it hurt so bad when i had em but they passed and changed my diet a lil to help in the future

I had one and it fricken hurt like hell when i passed it. Cranberry juice is a good thing to flush your kidney's with. or at least thats what the wife gives me. it seems to make me piss a lot, and he needs to do that. give it a try a Brownie and a quart of cranberry juice. see how it works. if he passes that thing chances are good it's going to make him yelp a bit.
