for real I had frito pie since I was born gotta have red chilly dogh. they sell it at sonic here mmm sonic Im gonna get sonic right now
I dont know what it is but i looked it up on google and it looks delicious  I love cooking!! whats it like?
it's good, and simple to make too...
i highly suggest using most of the 'cheese sauce' tho... the velveeta is the cheese that makes it great...Quote:
Frito Pie
1 pound Velveeta cheese, cut in cubes
1 can (10 oz.) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chiles
1 package (10 oz.) regular size Fritos
2 cans (1 pound, 8 oz. each) chili without beans or about 5 cups homemade chili
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
Preheat the oven to 350F degrees. Spray a medium-size baking dish with non-stick spray. Combine the cheese and tomatoes in a saucepan (or see note below to use the microwave) and heat slowly until the cheese melts. Heat the chili in another saucepan.
Place half the Fritos in the baking dish. Spoon half the chili over the Fritos. Cover with a layer of cheese sauce. (There will be cheese sauce left over to use as a dip.) Scatter the remaining Fritos over the cheese. Cover with the rest of the chili and sprinkle with the shredded cheddar cheese. Bake uncovered about 20 minutes, until hot and bubbly.

I will definately try making that one day all those ingrediants seem pretty easy to get ahold of!
So did this pie originate from texas then?!
this will be on the menu @ my house this weekend
Yummy Frito pie. Ten years seems wait too long to go without one of those.
dunno if it came from here, but it is definately VERY popular here. lol my school used to serve it every week (hence why i haven't had it in so long... i never really thought "hey! i'm gonna make that for dinner")
At my highschool we had walk away tacos. One of the lil bags of fritos, taco meat lettuce, and cheese. It was good stuff.
