this probably goes in another forum, but i am having a lot of trouble importing iTunes music (which i recently purchased) onto my Creative Zen Touch player (not an iPod), using the iTunes, Windows Media and Creative music software. Anyone care to help? I'm feeling very fustrated
don't expect too much from me, but if you can give me a detailed list of what you're doing i MIGHT be able to help... but ihave no experience in any of it... only pretty intermediate knowledge of tech stuff... and the ability to search...

Look for AAC to mp3 software... there should be some good free programs available from the Linux community, they are always monkeying around with this DRM bullshit. BTW, it's the RIAA and DRM that are killing you here. Yeah, you paid your money, but no, you don't own the files. BTW I'm completely wasted or I would research and give you the step-by-step.

let me begin by stating the the Creative Zen Touch mp3 player is NOT associated with Apple or iPod.
well i bought my brother's Creative Zen Touch player from him a few weeks ago. with some trouble i imported all of my music files that were on Windows Media Player to the Creative music software and onto the mp3 player itself.
Then for my birthday by little bro gave me a $25 iTunes gift certificate which i promply used to purchase Radio Moscow's self titled album....i had to so some serious navigating to figure out how to do this as i am unfamiliar with anything Apple/iPod...i had to download the iTunes software. i use Windows Media Player as my primary means of listening on my computer, and what i use to import tracks from when i want to put music onto the Zen player, using the Creative organizer software.
and herein lies the rub: while i am able to import tracks from Windows Media to Creative oranizer to my mp3 player, i cannot figure out how to take the album that I downloaded to the iTunes softwate and import it onto my mp3 player. i saved the info onto a folder, when i try to open it up and add the folder to the list of music i am about to import, the folder shows up empty. i don't know if this is a problem with iTunes, Creative, or Windows Media.

you're gonna have to convert it to mp3 probably (since you said you use windows media player mostly, and general, while there is .wav, most files played there are .mp3

Bzzzt! Sorry, thanks for playing. It turns out you can only convert non-protected formats (such as WAV or WMA) to MP3. So what can we do? Fortunately, there are two ways to get around this annoying restriction.
Method 1: Burn the track(s) to a CD, then you can open the CD in iTunes and the Convert Selection to MP3 will do exactly what you want. Just be aware that you'll have TWO copies of that song in iTunes -- one in the original AAC format and one in MP3 format. You can delete the AAC version if you like. (Note that you must burn an audio CD, not a data CD. Check the setting in Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Burning if you have a problem importing tracks from the CD.)

im sure you can change format with windows media player... i think its called rip(make sure u select which format before u rip) it creates a new music file in a different format
