would this kind of hydro grow work?

how well would this kind of hydro grow work?

It would be 1 pot in a nother pot with drain holes in the bottem.
and marbles in the 1st pot.
and the roots would suck up the water through the many drain holes.

so how well would this work.

Short answer--yeah it would work.
If you do some research on Deep Water Culture (DWC) you'll find lots of bucket systems like yours.
Also, since the "deep" part doesn't necessarily apply to your situation, you could make it into a dripper system, or a modified Flood-and-Drain system.
There are as many variations as one can dream up. Most of them will work. Do some searching both here and elsewhere and you'll find all the info ya need.

well I do have 2 plants in 2 DWC systems allready.

but I was wornder is a setup like this would work any better.

so should I just stick with my 2 DWC systems or would the 1 I drew in the first post work any better?
