400 watt

Okay i went from CFL's to a 400 watt hps and the tips of my leaves on my plants are starting to fold down and curl up its only the top couple sets of leaves...

so my question is you think its from the change in temp from the hps being so much hotter?

Sounds like heat issues to me. You do know you cannot have the tops as close to the new light like you did with the CFL. When your light is on put your hand just above the tops of your plants and if its to hot to keep it there than to close for your plants. I have my 400w HPS about 12-14 inches off my tops. But I also have an enclosed hood with a fan hooked up to it.

can you give us more detail about your grow setup?

hang your 400w 18 to 24inch away from the tops! :) Make sure the tops are not hotter than 25 or 28 at a peack.
