Siamese Twin Plant
Hi fellow stoners
Am just in the process of attempting my first grow and have encountered something which i believe to be strange.
Had germinated my seeds and planted them and after a couple of days all of my seedlings had sprouted. All the seedlings were the same except one which had two seedlings coming out of the pot. Before anyone asks, I am certain that i did not plant 2 seeds in one pot because I only had a small number of seeds anyway, so in that case is this plant some kind of twin??
Would like to know if this is a common thing to happen and also what I should do about it as I am afraid that because the two plants are so close together that they will not be ablle to grow.
Will they need to be seperated???
Any useful info or advice would definately be appreciated as I am a complete novice and know nothing about plants to start with.
Cheers

Let them grow until they are about 8 inches, then take one off and clone it.

Siamese Twin Plant
Wont their roots be entwined by then are is it easy to do??
I don't really understand it to be honest. Considering the fact they came from 1 seed they must be joined somewhere?? Will that be at the root?? When i was germinating the seeds i didn't notice more than one taproot come out or would that not happen anyway??
Cheers for the reply.

Cloning means cutting and re-rooting.

I know what you mean by cloning but considering there are two full plants growning beside each other from the same seed, why do i need to make a clone??
If that is definately what i should do, does that mean that the two plants WILL be able to grow together in the same pot and which of the two plants should i clone (does it matter)?

You COULD grow them out together, but if one of them has problems, then how do you treat it?
It's better to give them each their own chance to be a full bushy plant, than to have two weaker plants fighting over the same nutrients.
I'd see which one reaches the 8 inch mark last, and cut that one. At least that way, the strongest one will just get stronger. And if your clone is successful... BONUS!

Dude I totally reccomend growing it out! A conjoined twin plant, could be useful in the name of science. See how it does, perhapse it does well and a phenotype could be bred out of it?
Psteve had some good advice that if it did have a problem you could lose both, but fuck it, I would try it.
I've seen some mutated ass genetics out there, there kinda cool looking really.
But do whatever you choose.
