Haze plant #2...approaching harvest...how much longer do you think??
So this is my second attempt at growing haze
under approximately 600 watts of cfls
i learned my lesson the first time around...
and decided to top then tie this plant down
since it mostly sativa
so any input on how close i am to harvest?
being fairly new to growing i'm having a heard time judging
especially since haze have small buds and yields anyways
any input would be appreciated
thanks in advance!

mmm my mouth is watering ha ha but like i just mentioned in another thread, you can only tell the amount of time left buy looking at the tricombs. you look for color and cloudy-ness. Unless i totally misinterpreted what i have learned on here over time, this is what i was always told. Get some tri pics of those tasty looking plants and people can help you a bit more

i'd say a few more weeks they still look clear to me so when they start to turn cloudy amber like, then this is when you need to harvest
good luck

sorry for the double/triple post. i was looking at the hairs which are turning obviously, second im not sure but i think i read somewhere that sativas will continue to grow from the tips of the bud and not really become fully ripe. another thing (reading again) is that the trichomes dont really seem to turn as amber as an indica, they tend to stay sort of milky/cloudy. i just wanted to clarify and hope this helps a little. there are other people that are more familiar with haze and sativas than i am.

hey thanks for the feedback man, i appreciate it
and i'm gonna have to do some more research on that
cuz if thats the case, then it totally makes sense
the buds on the bottom appear ready for harvest
howeever the tips of the buds still seem to have a ways to go
now do you know if i harvest the bottom buds, and continue to let the less mature buds ripen, will that harm the plant at all?
thanks again

as far as i know, harvest when the biggest percentage of bud is good for you. i think that would make a mess if you only tried to harvest the bottom. maybe one of the reasons that sativa is more headie rather than a body stone. those look great in my oppinion what does it smell like? perfume, spice, somewhere in between? let me know please. i saved a couple of your pics, because that looks sort of familiar and would explain some strange tastes and growth habits that i have noticed. i just watched an arjans haze video i believe in basic growing that talks about these traits.

nope, whether or not it is sativa, or indica, the trichomes turn amber as the THC degrades into CBDs, etc ... cloudy is peak THC ... but, there is more to the 'high' than THC ... look in the Grow FAQs, there are stickies there concerning trichomes and maturity ... :smokin:
