I seem to have let the plant grow too tall for the closet. I have it in flowering now, 2nd day. Could topping be done now? to allow for 2/3 new growth? Does this hurt the plant you are topping when doing it in flowering stage?

Well you can top it and switch back to veg since your so early in flower. You can top it, stay in flower an hope all goes well. Or I remember reading a while back about using liquor to stop vegative growth, but still alow flowers to grow, if you do some searching I'm sure you can find a post or an artical explaining it in better detail.

davejohnwright..... Thanks, I tried the liquor thing. Drank the whole dang bottle and they are still growin! :)
Take a look at a product called Bushmaster by Humboldt's Own- most hydro stores will have it. I'll vouch for it's effectiveness. Start w/ a 1/2 dose- more is not better.
Can you just bend and tie down the meristem?
I can't tie it down. I have to keep moving it from the light to the dark part of the closet. I have some others that are still vegging that need the light so I can't just put it on a timer until about 3 weeks from now. Then I will be okay as far as setting it all up on a timer. Can I tie it down anytime during its flowering, like say in about 3 weeks?
Okay, change of plans. I am taking one of my plants that has been on the 12/12 schedule for 3 days and putting it back into veg with the other younger plants. It will just be about 3 weeks older. So now I will have to tie it down. Anyone know of a good technique to tie down plants?
