It came from the closet....

It came from the closet.......as seen in the Closet section.

I was counting on only having 2-3 females at most, I fit 6, 3 gallon pots in there. When I pulled the male, I inspected the roots and sure enough, they were just starting to hit the container and wrap around.

What should I do? let all 5 go and let them get rootbound? Or should I sacrifice 2 and transplant the 3 healthiest ones to larger containers? I wish I could just throw 2-3 of them outside to finish but unfortunately, that would be out of prop. 215 compliance. (DAMN those 100 sq. feet.)

Also, pruning. There are a couple large fan leaves that hang over emerging bud sites and put them in the shade. Should I chop em' off to allow light to get to the emerging bud sites, or should I just let the fan leaves do their natural thing? I know I'm being too conservative for my own good, I already realize that ScrOG/LST would have served me much better than just letting them go.....lesson learned.....

im not sure, but i think 5gal and 3 gal are the same diameter only deeper. would this work for you, or is height a factor? i dont know how much longer you have to go either, so is it really necessary to transplant at all? i just looked, you are just about a week of flowering? they probably will need to be transplanted, but let someone who knows for sure answer.

Technically, Prop. 215 didn't set any limits. SB420 implemented Prop 215 by setting arbitrary limits for cultivation.

The limit for mature plants is six (6) plants. It doesn't matter if the plants are 10" or 10'. SB 420 sets the minimum standards of legality. Counties can allow more plants, but they can't allow fewer.

Some counties have enacted ordinances of their own to deal with cultivation. A few counties allow a 100 sq.ft. SOG, regardless of the number of plants, but this does not change the fact that you could alternativly have the six mature plants allowed by SB420.

CalNorml has a county-by-county breakdown of what is allowed, but your five plants are legal anywhere in California - assuming you have a Med Rx.

if i were you, i would clip the fan leaves covering the bud sites.

Seems like everything i read on here, seems to be make sure the bud sites get lots of light! main reason why topping your plant to allow for 2 main colas to form so they get more light between the two and create a higher yeilds.

Looking Nice man! I would suggest not to trim your leaves but to move them out the way of your bud sites as trimming off leaves is never a good idea. :)

i would suggest not triming them too. that is an old kind of wives tale. ask ed? the book was worth it, just outdated.
