Back on two. Woot!!! (and post #420, 'nother woot!!!)

Boy is it a great day to be me!!! Got my bike back on the road. Reached post #420. And got a chick I kinda like coming over to get plastered tonight. And got one of my best friends, a cool ass motherfucker, moving in. And it's July 4th. Happy 4th everybody, or patriotic Americans I reckon! How 'bout another rep square for celebration or whatever? ;) I'm throwin 'em out. My form of fireworks I guess.

I finally got my bike fixed back up to riding condition a couple nights ago. I crashed it three months ago in the mountains. I really wasn't experienced enough I don't think to be riding like I was and hit some gravel on a sharp curve. It took a good sharp curve and change in road banking and apexes and gravel to take me down, but I went down pretty hard. I busted the engine case cover and scratched the plastic. I also broke my shoulder and scraped my knees pretty damn bad. Hurt my pride too. It took a long time to get fixed. The downtime off the bike was the most painful part of all. But now it's fixed and I get to ride again! A buddy also gave me a set of crash race leathers. A friend of his went down in them scratching them up, but they're still good for parking lot practice and stuff. Having a suit of armor instills all the confidence in the world in me. I tried a lot more speed going around curves, leaning off the bike and countersteering. I'll start hitting up some parking lots for cornering practice as soon as I get some frame sliders.

Bringing my bike from Milledgeville to Atlanta, some a$$hole ran a stop sign and shot across the highway right in front of me. I only missed him by a bike length (6 ft.). It happened so fast, I didn't really have time to panic or try and stop or anything. Me and the other guy were both through the intersection by the time I realized what was happening. I wanted to go back and give the guy the a$$ whooping of his lifetime but my buddy kinda talked me out of it. So yeah, you guys on bikes be careful out there. Glad to be back with ya on two. i agree, july is the best month out of the year. good bud, fireworks, good beer, bbqs, etc... enjoy the fixed up bike 4twentE, careful with it his time
