ive been aware of the danger of using aluminum foil for a while but never really did anything about it
but recently ive been looking for alternative ways to smoke home-made because i am so broke, so i got a IBc rootbeer cap and took out the rubber and scraped all of the cover metal off and poked holes... does this have any harmful effects?
im assumuur talkin about makin a getto bong or some thin but the best thing 2 doo ifur goin 2 make somethin is2 use a metal net the type people some times use over fish bouls and cages an shit aluminum foil will give u alstimers diesses i odont no about the cap thing sorry if u dont understand me i jus got home an im 7 beers deepp wit 3 shot of goldslaugger an i no most off the stuf i right is wrong

Couldn't tell you because there is no way to know what kind of metal or material the cap is made of or whether there is anything else coated on it that could be harmful. Maybe it is safe but ghetto smoking devices have always been a bitch to me, makes it harsher than it has to be and usually wastes smoke. A metal or glass pipe and other smoking devices are usually available at head shops, flee markets, gas stations...CVS sells corn cob pipes for like $5 that can fit a lot of weed, hit smooth and taste decent.

bill, have you got a magnet? if you do see if it is attracted to the metal. if it does not attract its not metal. might be alliuminum. peace.
i used to do that all the time.....i've never tasted any metal taste from it...whereas when smoking with aluminum foil or cans i could.....so my best guess would be that it's not made of aluminum...and i know you're not looking for yet another alternative but if it is made out of aluminum you can go to a hardware store and pick up a couple of socket wrenches or some brass fixtures..brass is safe to smoke out of....and i used to use small sockets from socket wrenches all the time. if you do try to get brass fixtrues...make sure it's not copper...it's just as dangerous if not more than aluminum.
