I have to take a piss test next week (probably Mon or Tues).
I last smoked on 12/31, 1/1, and 1/2 (about an 1/8th oz).
Prior to that I was clean for 1 week.
I am on Gemfibrozil, which lowers the fat in your blood. I am wondering if this will
help me in my test. I am drinking green tea with pre-cleanse caps, and plan to use XXtraclean the day of.
Any medical students or MDs out there that have any info about gemfibrozil related to pot and testing?

The exact way that gemfibrozil works to reduce cholesterol and triglycerides (types of fat) in the blood is not known. High levels of fat in the blood are associated with an increased chance of heart disease, strokes, and other illnesses.
Gemfibrozil may increase the effects of drugs similar in class such as vastin cholesterol lowering drugs, which could lead to dangerous side effects.
I am a medical student currently working for a chain Pharmacy as lead certified technition. Unfortunatly since Marijuana is a schedule 1 drug there has been very limited testing with being affected by prescriptions. I would say there is a very small chance of your Lopid affecting the marijuana in your body as it doesnt affect your metabolism.
Dronabinol (Marinol) is an orally active cannabinoid, one of the active substances in marijuana. It increases drowsiness when taken with other drugs such as sedatives, antihistamines, muscle relaxants, and anxiety medicines. No known interactions are seen when taken with Lopid (gemfibrozil).

Just an update.
I took my piss test last Monday at Qwest Diagnostics. They took me to the bathroom, had me wash my hands, and asked if I had anything in my pockets besides my keys and phone. Then she left me alone in the bathroom. I could have easily substituted piss, but instead I had used the pre-cleanse caps for a week before, and chugged water and green tea. I also drank a bottle of the "XXtraclean" and took a bit of Viamin b complex, then waited like 2 hours before I went down for the test.
She gave me a pretty big cup to piss in and told me I could piss the rest into the toilet, but not to flush or turn on the sink water. I kind of wondered if she was a bit suspicious, because I pissed the first part into the toilet then the cup than back to the toilet. I only gave her the minimum, in the cup. She looked kind of like she might have wondered why I pissed so much into the toilet and not in the cup, but she didn't mention it. She told me good luck, and I was off.
That was last Monday. They usually have the results in 2 days, but I haven't heard one way or the other from my job. I already started (on the same Monday) . Not really worried about them finding any pot, since I had taken a home piss test from Sav-On two days before that and passed it. I am still a bit paranoid though that it might have come back a bit too diluted. Seems like they would have mentioned it by now. I guess "no news is good news"
I would sure like to fire one up tonight, but I would hate to do that then go in Monday to work and get called into HR and asked to re-test . I am most likely OK. We'll see.
What a fuckin' hassle just for pot! It's not like I do heroin.
