im going to be a psych major
i registered for my fall classes yesterday. seeing as to how im entering my 4th year at a community college, it is more than time to make some decisions with my life. i've always done really well in psych classes that i've taken, so i will continue with that path. not sure if i'll go through with getting my masters degree, but we'll see.
teaching is an idea that's been floating around in my head for awhile. i'd love to be a high school psych teacher, or college level. i'd show episodes of aqua teen hunger force, and relate it since the characters show id, ego, and superego. when i was in high school, my teacher showed us episodes of the simpsons.

Do you think you're going to transfer to cp after mc?

You can take four years at a community college? I thought they were two-year institutions and that you then had to transfer to a four-year university or college? At least here in Texas, that's how they are. Of course, maybe you've simply been taking your time and working at the same time.

I registered for this fall. It's my first year.:( Miami-Dade College. It's a community school.
Good luck to you though.
I don't know much about any majors but I'm leaning towards law or psycology.
Or marketing...
I don't know....the whole choice kinda seems overwhelming if you think about it too much.

It might be a "University College", those are springing up around here too.

yeah, you can go to CC for as long as you'd like, i think. i dunno, they havent been telling me to get my ass out of there. i have been working(took one semester off to work) as well as going to school. just last semester was i actually a full-time student, and completed the semester.
i need to pass my MA103(intermediate algebra) course though. it'll be my third time taking it(i know, im TERRIBLE at math), and i'll get no other chances.

a lot of people switch majors. so it's ok to spend a year figuring out what you'd really like to pursue. but don't waste the amount of time that i did. i'm going to end up taking 7 semesters at a 2yr community college, then an additional 2 years i believe to get my bachelors. but it'll all be worth it when i get my degrees.

Hey yoda-that is my plan, too. I will be graduating in August w/a Psych degree and I plan on teaching at college level ( probably tech college since I am only going to get my Master's...may be hard to get a job @ a University). I look at it this way: I will have the summers off (if I want to teach a class, I can), I will have my own office, yet I will be around other adults, and teaching jobs are always needed. I was worried @ first because it is hard to find a good paying job in Psychology, but I would rather do something that I am happy in instead of making big bucks doing something that I hate. Anyways, Good luck!
