I GOT ARRESTED!!!!

this is wat happend me and a couple of friends were chillin in my friends car listenin to music gettin ready to play some football and all of a sudden my friend yells cops we dont go time to dip so we just chill there and they say some one reported we were smoking and we all answered no. they asked us too get out of the car and they patted us all down they found a dutch and a couple of lighters and then they asked my friend if they could search the car and he was like sure i got nothing to hide and they found my bowl.. so they said someone better fess up to whos it is or ur all goin to jail so i addmitted it was mine and they cuffed me and put in in the car they then questioned my friends and let them go and one of the officers was asking me who were we gonna buy from and shit i made up some name and they said since i was being cooperative they wouldnt take me too jail so they took me home and they said they would talk to the states attorney or someshit and so i got charged with paraphenelia and possesion of weed cause there was res in the pipe im 16 does ny know wat i will get from this like cs or probation or even juve thanks it was the worst day but late that night my friend hit me up and was like sneak out ur house i got some headies u gotta try so i went over there and got ripped and went home and passed out so it was good enough

Bad bad move. Never let the cops search your car. Cops do not have the right to go through your stuff without permission or probable cause.....that's why they ask if they can search your property most of the time, because they know they can't without permission.

The next mistake was confession. You admitted to having possesion of marijuana when they threatened to take you all to jail. How could they charge and take everyone to jail for a bowl of weed?

They didn't take you to jail because they it was only a bowl. They tried to squeeze information out of you as soon as they seen you open up.

You'll probably get a year's worth of probation or so. It wasn't a serious charge. You might get more though if they find out you were lying about the dealer.

you did the right thing. People underestimate the power of police officers, but you didn't, you cooperated, so they let you off easy. Cops hate nothing more than snobby arrogant teenagers who think they know the law, and they love nothing more than punishing them. It's just weed, so there is no need to act sketchy.

I kinda agree with Pink floyd though.. I mean its really easy for cops to think of something thats " probable cause" for searching the car..so they would have probably searched his car anyways...and if you act like a dick to the cop, you might have it worse off then if you hadnt..Im not saying that you shouldnt stand up for your rights though:jointsmile:

all cops are dick cops no cop will let you off easier than any other. They are there to do only one thing get you in trouble and they do it well. In that particular case You shouldnt have let them searched your car. you should have said "no" because if you say no they either need probable cause(if you smoked in your car and they can smell it thats probable cause or if you leave anything where they can see it without actually searching) or they can call for backup and get a dog to sniff the outside of your car. and im pretty sure that resin left in the bowl has a different smell than weed so you would have been fine. Unless you smoked in your car or you left the bowl where they could see it. and then your stupid.
