Sweaty Palms
Ok lately I have been having sweaty hands and don't know why. Of course we all sweat but this has been a day in and day out thing, it's like they are never dry or anything, just always sweaty and hot. Now I know from the title of this thread people are going to post jokes lol I don't mind it. And just for those wondering no I am not a chronic masturbator actually I don't do that at all anymore, it's just boring and plain. I said that because if some one made a thread titled "sweaty palms" I'd be the first to ask if they masturbate a lot lol! But anyways why the hell is this!? It's not even hot, where I am. It's actually cold :-/.

I've read about people with chronic hand-sweating, I don't remember the scientific name but yeah pretty much their hands were always sweaty. There;'s treatment you can get if you talk to your doctor, I know this one thing they have, its like a tub of water that they have you periodically stick your hands in during appointments, and somehow it reduces the sweating dramatically. Good luck with it, sorry for any inconveniences it may be causing you!

So there is some type of thing I can pour into water and stick my hands in to make them stop sweating so much?

Orangeman, you've got palmar hyperhidrosis. Do a Google on that term or on "sweaty palms" and read what you see. Happens to a more people than you'd realize. I have a friend whose husband is a prominent businessman, and he had such trouble with sweaty hands, which presented trouble everytime he had to shake hands, that he had a procedure in which he had the sympathetic nerve chain that supplies his upper body surgically transected.
For most people, thoracic sympathectomy surgery isn't necessary. Antiperspirants and powders help some people with mild sweating. I know some doctors have had success with certain medicines and with Botox injections to ease the problem, too. Therre are doctors who treat the problem with application of a low-level electrical current, as well, which seems to help. But of course for those treatments other than antiperspirants or powders, you'd first have to be seen by a doctor.

I know dry lips and eyes are a symptom of an imblance in your fatty acid intake, omega oils. But as for sweaty palms, I'm only at liberty to conject. Maybe you just need to change something in your diet?

Sweaty Palms
I occasionally suffer from sweaty palms, mostly when I am drunk or at work and trying to play pool or darts. More often I suffer from sweaty feet, in the morning when I can't sleep, i put socks on because they stick to everything. I normally attribute it to an imbalance, and since it always goes away it
always seem to be recoverable, but that is just me. Same thing with the dry lip thing, I come to realise that specifically is to do with perhaps eating not enough or too much of something.

I don't know about that, babe. From what I read in Dave's old dermatology text, it sounds like it can get more severe in the late teens and early adulthood. Some people develop it because they have a genetic predisposition to have the condition, and some people get it when they have anxiety problems, an overactive thyroid, and other conditions. They're not really very clear on all the causative factors.
Is it just mild sweating or actual sopping wet, dripping hands?

Actually I do..is that why my palms aren't sweaty when I'm high? I haven't noticed it until lately. I guess I this is about the 3rd time since I first started smoking that I have been sober for a LONG time without a smoke so I'm noticing different things.
