Hi all, this is my firs ever grow, im using a 6 gallon hydroponics system,with a 300 watt dual spectrum bulb, just put them on full nuts today, they are 17 days old, was just wanting to know if you guys thought they were looking ok or not..... All criticism welcome :thumbsup:
perhaps its your photograph but it looks like they're streching. drop your light some if you can and get a fan pointed at them, it'll make the new stem growth stiffer, and if your light cant be lowered anymore without heat probs get another fan. good luck,
b52 vitamins suppliments prevent streching but most people want larger growths and node separation with seedlings.

tks, iv got my light at 12inc, what do u think would be best to lower it to?
they are a bit stalky but thats some pretty good growth for just 17 days

Looking good but what they said. I would cut down on the rockwool to 1 inch cubes and no wrap. The wrap stops side growth of roots. I got the same exact containers except a pump down in the water and 3/4 line down the middle with 1/4 inch drip line to each pot. They should do well as bubblers too.
What kind of 300 light is that ? Never heard of 300. I started with 400 HPS and went to 1000 watt hortilux. I got 3/4 pounds at harvest.
What strain or seeds are you growing ? Keep us up on the grow.

you should use those support sticks when the plants have so much bud they are about to fall over. Like the others said you should make the stem stiffer by putting a fan directly pointed at them to increase rigidity. Your light might not be powerful enough if you are that close and they are still stretching. I would lower the light as much as you possibly can without having heat issues to the tops of the leaves. Good rule of thumb is that if the top of your hand feels warm or hot at the level the leaves are at then they are too close.
