:hippy:Hey i planted my seed about 5-6 days ago, its about an inch and a half has two oval leaves, which are very simetrical. It also has two jaged leaves rising up through the middle.
At this stage can you use a normal 40w bulb? (average one that you would have in the ceilings).
I also have a 15w ultra violet which is about 1 foot long. a heat mat and a good pot and soil, would the heat mat under the pot, the ultra violet light a foot to the side with panel facing the little wonder and the 40w bulb a meter above. Is this a good combination?
whats is a good light to dark ratio?
I got the seed from a bag of weed, what would be the likelyhood that it would female, male? (i know its 50/50 but as female plants are kept and males mainly discarded would this higher the chances it would be female)
To create humidity is it good to put a see-through container over the pot (double the size of the pot. I heard this would be good because the moisture helps the plant concieve more water, true?)
When is the first signs of male or female plant?
Can you prevent the plant from being higher than it should be?

that lighting you have will grow it for a week or so, get more lights. you'll probably end up with a male since I forsee lots of stress in that plants future. a humidity dome is usually only used with clones being rooted.

No, use CFLs or tube flouros- cool white.

No that does not increase chances of female. Taking good care of the seedling will though.... give it nice blue light- that's why the cool white- and little stress.
