Ok well to start off, today was my orientation day at college, and because I live two and a half hours away from campus, I had to leave at around 4 in the morning in order to make the 7:45 meeting (Damn you Eastern time zone change!).
The trip started out alright, I was a bit tired but I had a chance to rest since my mom decided to drive. About an hour into the journey I am enjoying the nice listening of some DopeFiend.com podcasts in which I copied to several CD's for the ride (Maybe I should get an MP3 player already...), but while I am half asleep I see a little movement out of my eye and I feel the car start to slow down. All of a sudden a deer jumped out of the middle brush between the highways and pretty much committed suicide on the grill of our car.
Now, I have never hit a deer before and I have never seen one hit by another driver, but I can clearly say that from what I have heard we are extremely lucky to be alive without any injury. The way the deer jumped into our car actually saved us, because the forward momentum caused it to fly off the side of our car instead of on top of the hood and crashing into the windshield. One thing that scared me the most is our airbags didn't go off, yet when we managed to get the car to a gas station we found the front end to be completely demolished, (oddly enough the headlights were completely untouched... well... there was a little blood and a few clumps of hair).
So thats when we call AAA, but it turns out that finding a tow truck at 5 in the morning in the middle of Indiana is a pretty hard to do. We ended up waiting for a little over two hours before the truck arrived, only to find out we need to go 30 miles back towards home since certified Lexus auto shops in Indiana are pretty hard to come by. We go back, schedule an estimate with our agent, rent a car from enterprise, move all of the junk into the rental, and start our journey once again at 11:00!
An hour and a half later we get to campus and I find my adviser. As we go over my courses for the first semester I noticed that I wouldn't be able to schedule class times, they just throw you in random class times that "better help class size balancing issues" (By the way I specifically planned going today at the most earliest time because it was the first day of registration, so I thought I would be able to get the best times for classes...).
When we finally got home I scheduled a pickup from my dealer, and since I said to my parents that I was going to pick up a case of Coca-Cola, they took up the chance to make me get them a gallon of milk as well. Well when I got home from the pickup, and pull the gallon of milk out from the backseat, it turns out there was a small hole in the side and about 1/6 of it spilled out onto the floor carpet! Once that turns sour it's going to wreeeeaakk.
To add to everything, I ordered a vaporizer online, and when I checked the tracking number with USPS it read that it was delivered on Saturday which never happened! I am going to have to get up early and go to the post office to file a complaint :(
Well that's pretty much it. The auto shop that we chose actually posts pictures on it's website to show how much progress your car is making, so once they update it with our car I'll throw up a pic of the damage.
The good thing is that the weed is spectacular, and right now, that's all that matters.
