Some things you can do every day to support the reverse of prohibition on cannabis:
Just talk about it, talk about it to your friends, family, even your parents. Explain things like the comparison of alcohol and cannabis. At least cannabis will wear off and you can eventually drive that same day.
Explain that cannabis isn't a pathetic way to escape every day problems. MJ is a way to see the world from a different perspective and get new insight to what seem to be horrible problems.
Also, it helps to set a good example and show that not everyone who smokes is a "burn out". I do this by making good grades, being responsible by keeping a steady job, and just not giving off that stereotypical stoner vibe.
The problem with cannabis is the stigma that follows it. From the times of Reefer Madness back in the 1930's/40's there has been this idea that pot is some horrible drug. It is up to us to show people the true beauty of this "drug".
I'm not saying that everything about cannabis is great, everything should be taken in moderation. I am saying that it is time to break stereotypes and stigma about this gift from god. I know it sounds a little far-fetched but just talking positively about marijuana can make a world of a difference. I've changed many people's minds on this subject, they were brainwashed by things like the DARE program. For example, my girlfriend used to drink but wouldn't have anything to do w/ bud. I just had to keep telling her the differences and the benefits of cannabis, said things like "don't knock it till you try it" and "don't judge until you know the truth" until she finally broke down and tried it. She's not an avid smoker but now she supports the legalization of pot compared to being a cannabis-hating Nazi.
I'm asking you, please talk to your peers. Communication is the key to the future. To change minds we have to show others the truth.
This is a call.
