Dems set war bill without Iraq timeline
WASHINGTON - In grudging concessions to President Bush, Democrats intend to draft an Iraq war-funding bill without a timeline for the withdrawal of U.S. troops and shorn of billions of dollars in spending on domestic programs, officials said Monday.
The legislation would include the first federal minimum wage increase in more than a decade, a top priority for the Democrats who took control of Congress in January, the officials added.
While details remain subject to change, the measure is designed to close the books by Friday on a bruising veto fight between Bush and the Democratic-controlled Congress over the war. It would provide funds for military operations in Iraq through Sept. 30, the end of the fiscal year.

isn't it just hilarious how that is the same day that the immigration bill was supposed to be ready by? once again the dems and the reps have found common cause against the people of the united states. it might be that the few congressmen that are still loyal to the people who elected them will be able to stall this abortion of an immigration bill, but i doubt that honesty will win the day.
for those of you who still believe your government gives a damn about you - :S2:
if they do manage to do the right thing i will gladly apologize, but it is highly doubtful that it will be necessary.

There you go: whats needed is to stop the insanity. A blood for oil war that is going nowhere. Blowing up what is left of Iraq and killing thousands. This the greatest debacle in the history of the country and historians will definently see it that way, G.W.Bush will go down in history as the most idiotic president ever and the President that has done the most damage to our credibility and national treasure since the Declaration was signed. All you people on board his train, prepare for the wreck as it's coming. I'll be so pissed off at all of you Bushies because not only will it fuck up your world, but my world as well, and I had nothing to do with it!
