Experimental Outdoor UK Grow

I need to find someone who really knows what they're talkin about when it comes to outdoor growing in the UK. I'm planning to start something experimental off during the next few weeks, then hopefully build up a bit of a knowledge base to get things going properly next year.

I'm going to be experimenting with 2 different grow spots so at the moment i'm just looking at strains, and which ones if any might be able to soldier through both the english weather and my newbie cock-ups.

Any inital advice would be great!
