A Bad, Bad Cooking Experience

My friends and I have only cooked with pot once for two reasons: 1. we suck at it, because we're idiots, 2. we can just buy pre-made pot cookies and brownies from our local medical marijuana vendor
So yeah anyway my friend Alex and I really wanted to try cooking so after school one friday we got some weed, some butter, and some brownie mix. We looked on the internet for bud butter recipes and found a suitable one, not realizing that it was for making A LOT of butter, way more than we needed. The internet site also said that the butter should turn green when making it. So we tried making it at her apartment and it never really turned green at all, just a sickly tar-like brown, which looked and smelled like death. So we strained it out as best we could and were left with some nasty-looking substance. We then realized that the internet recipe was designed for making brownies from scratch, not from brownie mix. But being lazy, we just decided to pour in two packages of brownie mix and bake that and see what happened. We also realized we were supposed to refridgerate the butter before cooking with it but her mom was coming home in like 2 hours so this was not a possibility. So we baked it for the normal brownie time, but when we looked at it the brownies hadn't solidified. So then we just left it in for about another half an hour, but it still was nasty and liquidy and now it was burning. Panicking now, we decided to take it out of the oven and put it in a tupperware container and see if it solidified when it cooled down. After a while, it hardened but now it was really nasty and burnt and it tasted like burnt chocolate and pot ashes. But we really wanted to get high so we ate it anyway with another friend, and surprisingly it got us really stoned, I think because of the sheer amount of pot we used. Tasted horrible though, and I almost threw up trying to eat it. In conclusion, always follow instructions, or you have to eat really gross brownies.
