Close call last night.

We only got off on the cops being nice.


We were in my car (my buddy was driving) and a cop goes by us, in the opposite direction. My friends in the back seat watch him turn around, get into our lane, turn his lights on, and proceed to pull us over. Well, I had my pipe, so I hid it under my sack. I also had drops and a lighter in my pocket, along with my cell phone. Well, the cops walks up to us and the conversation was as follows:

Cop A: Evening, boys.
Friend A: Howdy officer.
Cop A: D'you boys have any illegal guns in this vehicle?
Friend A: No sir, officer.
Cop A: Can I get your ID's?
*We give him our ID's, he goes back to his car*
We're sitting there talking, and suddenly a second cop pulls up. I go "Oh fuck, we're being searched. Friend A, don't consent, dude. For the love of fuck, don't."
So, the first cop walks back up to us and goes asked if we knew why he pulled us over. Apparently, my car is missing a front license plate. He asks if he can search the car:

Friend A: Actually, it's my buddy Joe's car, so you'll have to ask him.
(I was about t'go "my parents always told me to deny searches", but the cop cut me off)
Cop A: Well, you're in control of this vehicle, it's your choice.
(I notice Cop B looking in my window at us at this point)

My friend agreed to the god damn search.


So, we get out, and we're all standing by the cop car. Cop B searches my car while Cop A searches us. I'm waiting for a search and put my hands in my pockets and feel the drops/lighter. I'm watching the cop, and I grab them out of my pocket, and as I do, he looks at me. I really calmly reached into my back pocket and "scratched my ass" (dropped them in there in front of my wallet, where he couldn't feel it. So, he searched me, and feels my cell phone. He stops and looks at me and goes "What's this?" I told him, and he goes on to the driver of the car, Friend A.

This time, he has him put his head on the hood of the car as he pats him down. He stands him back up and empties his pockets. Coins, cell phone, guitar pick, etc. are pulled out. He pulls out a necklace with pot leaves on it. Then he pulls out this little pill bottle. I was thinking "Oh, fuck." He opens it, looks in it, smells it, closes it, and sets it back down. I thought he didn't notice. Then I hear "Turn around, put your hands behind your back." I look back again, and Friend A is in cuffs. I go "Hey, guys, look.." They all look and I go "What's wrong, officer?" He looks at me and goes "Residue of marijuana there, boys." Cop B comes back, and having found nothing says "Is there anything else illegal in that car?" We all say no, and he goes "So you don't mind if we get the drug dog out here?" We all tell him it's cool with us. He sends us back to my car, this time Friend B is in the driver seat.

I sit down, and right away the pipe falls out. I reach in and shove it back up there and Friend B goes "Don't get it out!" I explained to him, and we sit there a bit and Friend C goes "..Didn't the drug dog just die?" We all stop and kinda think, realizing that the dog did indeed just die. We sit there for a second, and friend D goes "They're taking the cuffs off!" And sure enough, they were. A few minutes later, Friend A is back in my car, and we leave. The cops let him off with a warning. Funny thing was, we were on a run to get a quarter.

on being calm and not freakin, which is what a lot of people do and they end up in the hoosgow.

My first search. Everyone was amazed that I was that calm my first time.

dude!! never consent!! holy shit!! put up a fight!!!! the reason why they asked to search you was because they had no probable cause!!! this is why we have the 4th amendment so we don't have to put up with this bullshit.
