SO how long until harvest do you think??
I've heard Haze plants take forever, and dont yield as much
so i'm kinda clueless here
This is my first grow that is approaching harvest
so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

well i read somewhere that some true haze plants can take up to 7-8 months from seed to finish?
it seems to me that the buds could get bigger still
but it also seems like its been flowering waaay too long??
Okay this is going to hurt.
That plant will probably not make it to harvest. It still has a ways to go, and you have SERIOUS problems.
There are several things you need to address, and address NOW:
1) Height to pot size ratio- Do you have at least a gallon of soil per foot of plant height? Sativas with their large size, long flower time, and lankiness are easy to forget to repot as often as needed.
2) You have a very very VERY bad problem with your leaves thin and cupped under. It appears to me that either you are giving them WAY too much nitrogen and/or your temps are too high.
3) Both of the above mistakes (Nitrogen and high temps) will also give you the other thing that I am seeing, which is you don't have the sort of bud mass that you would expect from a 4 month plant, EVEN a sativa. Another thing to check is possibility of light leaks. Now, with the combination of these things, the possibility of male sex parts growing on that plant is VERY high, so check often.
4) Back on the light leak thing: I see stress leaves (long and single-bladed) on that plant. Plus the extended flower time. Plus the wispy buds. All symptoms of a light leak.
To sum up:
-Flush your plant heavily with pH adjusted water, 3 gallons per gallon of dirt.
-Repot into a larger container that has a high quality medium in it
-Check for, and fix, light leaks
-Use a complete fertilizer that has a lot less N than whatever you are currently using
-To determine harvest time, look at trichomes... when they have all gone cloudy, and you see some starting to turn amber, it is time.
Sadly that plant is probably going to have to be chalked up to a learning experience.

Everything you said is kinda what i was fearing... i knew something had to be wrong for it to be this far along and so little to show for it
1) now the pot size i fixed a few weeks ago
it grew so fast and become root bound in its old pot
so that was fixed and seems to be recovering somewhat
2) I believe that could be the miracle grow soil
I began giving it slight nutrients a few weeks ago (5-30-5)
3) yeah theres definitely no bud mass, i was hoping that was cuz its sativa and haze, but so far not a single sign of male traits and its been 6 months
4) Light Leak could be my big issue i think, could light creeping under a closet door affect it that much??
so why don't you think it'll make it to harvest??
even if the buds harvested end up being small??
cuz the plants probably 3 and a half feet tall
sooo theres plenttty of bud sites on it
also would hash still be possible?

Yes light under the door could be a problem. Take a stocking, fill it with dry beans, and use that for a light blocker... now that you say you are growing in a closet, do you have adequate ventilation? This is uncommon to see since most people ventilate heavily, but your plants could be suffocating... that would also cause the cupped leaves and no mass, because they aren't getting enough CO2 to be halthy and put on weight.
I do not see that the fert you are using would cause an N overdose. Nor would the soil. Suffocation and heat are both VERY much more likely from what you have said.
Well... if you get some SERIOUS air circulation going somehow, you have a better chance of recovery.
And hash is certainly possible- even if the plant died today you can still make hash of it.
One last thing I would like to suggest is changing your fertilizer to something a little more in balance for cannabis. You could use some more potassium for sure in that fert. Look for something more like 1-10-6 or close to it. I don't know the ideal ratio off the top of my head, but if you google bloom fertilizer you can look up what the major companies such as Botanicare put in theirs.
At least you can still make hash...7-8 months for haze? Is that typical for indoor growing? Or is it just the strain?
I've never heard of a 7 MONTH haze. I think the extension has something to do with cultural issues.
whats your light schedule if its 12/12 cut it back some more some hazes will not flower well under 12/12 try 11/13 or even 10/14 dont really see a light leak under the door causing any problems unless it is actually reflecting light up onto the plants not very likely.
its a sativa and your buds will never be real dense and the fact your using flouros doesnt help much but think you can get them to finish by just adjusting your light schedule and doing the other things stinky mentioned.

i think circulation was exactttly the problem
i only had one fan in there
ive been keeping the door open now, and it seems to have perked up already
and i did some research and came upon this
"Haze is the most difficult and challenging of any strain. perhaps Thai sativas also. Haze takes a long time, in a recent interview Ben Dronkers (of Sensi Seeds) said a true Haze takes 8 months to flower!"
which would mean its approaching that age now, making it about 5 and half month (seeded beginning of january)
so bejay i think your right about that... if i keep it on 10/14 for another 2 weeks, it might start to look like its ripe and ready
ganj...i'm definetly making assloads of hash... i think 7-8 is just the strain..

Smokey - I'm pretty sure you start counting flowering time from when you put the plant on 12/12, not from when you plant the seed, or when the plant sprouts. There are a whole lot of variables that determine when one wants to start flowering, so counting time from when flowering starts is the most accurate way.Quote:
