I have the cold (or flu) [could never really tell the difference between the 2], anyways my friend was like just smoke some weed. i mean i do it on a weekly basis so im not scared of smoking, but i mean if im sick will i get worse? he told me that ive rarely been eating anything (which is true) and it'll help me get the munchies and start eating food.
i mean i see the logic in that, but is actually doesnt seem beneficial to smoke while youre sick......
does it?
Depends on the cold or flu! If you have heavy coughing, it might not be the best idea, but if you are achy and have no appetite, it can do you good. It also will dry up your nose a bit (cotton mouth hits the nasal passages too). I'm getting over a cold and I'm still toking! Makes me feel human again, for a while. - Granny:hippy:
Best to vaporize, if you can. The smoke really won't help your lungs get better. As StormCrow said, it'll be great for the appetite and aches, but it won't help you get better any quicker. There seems to be conflicting information among the scientific community as to whether it damages your immume system, does nothing, and in a few rare reports actually helps. I can tell you from personal experience, though, that toking has never made a cold worse for me.
I'd suggest having a toke (preferrably a vape), and a nice hot bath. Nothing feels quite so good as a hot bath when you're sick. Also, try taking a Vitamin-E capsul then taking 6-8 grams (6,000-8,000mg) of vitamin-C, spread throughout the day. VC kicks a virus's ass, but only at such doses as I described. Don't worry, it's about as remarkably non-toxic as THC, you don't have to worry about hurting yourself from too much till you start taking it in the hundreds of grams (though i wouldn't recommend it as it would interferre with normal oxidative processes at those kinds of doses..... though that's also a biology issue still under heavy debate).

I do it whether I'm sick or not, but like menioned above - if I have a cold - I vaporize only:) Marijuana will not make you more sick and will encourage appetite right, so go for it!
You can do it to get your appetite up, raise overall happyness, and numb your entire body.

ive been really sick for the past 2 months (like not good sick :'( if you know what i mean) with the flu and some other stuff but it takes my pains away and helps me eat which helps tremendously.
Rebgirl you had cancer? Sorry to hear that, what kind was it? My girlfriends mom survived thyroid cancer, but now she's living with MS which is horrible. The pain she's in everyday is so sad to watch.
I've had a cold for almost 2 weeks now and I've been smoking everyday. Not sure if it's prolonging the sickness, but it does help with eating because the first week I couldn't eat unless I had the munchies.
