Holy Moly @ Prom!

Sorry for the length, but it's all necessary and ties in at the end. I'll start at the very beginning of the day.

On Friday morning, our principal held an assembly to tell us that if we come drunk or high to prom, we will not be allowed to walk at graduation. They told us they were going to randomly breathalyze. This actually scared me and convinced me not to drink BEFORE prom, and to just come baked as hell instead. My friend calls bullshit.

I woke up the next day to find out that my parents had gone away for the day. Realizing it was the day of senior prom, I decided to clean my glass pipe for the occasion. So I break out this random ass pot in my kitchen and start boiling some water. Once boiling, I added in the pipe and immediately saw the resin disintegrate into the murky water. I go out to my car and get my grinder and weed. While the pipe's boiling I remove all the stems and I grind it all up. My good friend calls me..

"Hey man, you wanna wake n bake?"

Sure, I say. We can match. After I pull my bowl out of the water and shake it a bunch, he comes over and he suggests we take my dad's car(a Crossfire) and bowl roll in it. I agree but remind him that we must drive slowly while we smoke because I was too lazy to put the top up. So we get in and smoke a bowl of mine. He tells me he doesn't have weed. I don't really care since it's prom night, so I just pack another.

We go really fast down select roads and then we go back to my house. After he cleans his tiny pipe real quick, he leaves. I begin to clean the pot and I realize it will be damn near impossible. Realizing that all my mom's other pots had no residue whatsoever, I hide the pot in the unfinished part of my basement.

I then wash out my car for prom and thoroughly clean it. I shower and get ready. I then meet up at my friends house with the two girls. We do the pictures and crescent and bootynears or whatever the fuck, and then we get in my car to go to Benihana's. It was 7:45 and the reservations were for 8. On the way downtown, we bowl roll 3 bowls. While we walk to eat, a black homeless man asks for change. We made the "nehhhh" sound and kind of went around him.

Then he went on a rant:

"Yeah you go to college and get yourself a nice career. (10 seconds of muffled wording) ... Then go talk ... (mumbled incoherent sounds) .... to all the religious leaders....(we walk into the restaurant)"

We decide to smoke 6 bowls on the way to prom. We were only like 2 miles from where the prom took place, and, feeling uneasy about smoking in ghetto ass down town, we took the highway back to our township and drove back. We air out the car for about a minute or two until we pull up. We arrived at the prom at 11 o clock, when they apparently were going to stop admitting people.

I remember this and realize we must hurry up. The girls are taking a while to come out and I urge them to hurry. I run in front to grab the last shuttle(we were shuttled to prom) and a cop stops me on the way and says "Thats the last shuttle up there, you guys better hurry up." We all go into the shuttle and are escorted to prom.

Immediately a cop shows up at the door we enter. Whatever, we just thought this was an escort or some shit. She even brought us up to the dance. She told us to stay there and went to talk to one of my principles. I just assumed they were debating whether or not to let us in since it was, technically, after 11. Slowly but surely all of the administrators huddle up and begin to look at me. Ohhhhh fuck.

Turns out that I left my dome light on and, when the cop in the p-lot saw this, "went to investigate" He saw a bottle of liquor sticking out from under my seat, for later that night. I admit that it's mine but all four of us are breathalyzed. My friend drank 3 beers before he came to dinner with us and tested positive. Me and the two girls were sober(in the alcohol department). All four of us, baked out of our minds and without any eyedrops(Side note: before leaving the car, I knew we were in a rush and declined anyone the opportunity to use eye drops), are forced into interrogation with all of my administrators and a couple police.

After awhile, they let me and the two girls go. They tell me they have to seize the bottle from my car before I can take them home. We drive back to my car and I unlock the door. Sure that my car was going to reak of pot when I opened it, I opened the door and grabbed the bottle.

I knew immediately closing the door would look suspicious, so I just left it open. He asks me if anything else is in the car and I saw "no sir" while confidently looking him in his eyes. He says if I mind if he looks and, completely knowing that both my school and he had every right to search my car on this private property, I said no. When asked why, I said "because its my parents car and they've always told me to never consent to any searches" He tells me he's allowed to search any way but gives me the benefit of the doubt. He does make me pick up a blanket in the trunk and a few things in my back seats to prove there was nothing underneath.

We didn't even fabreze the car or anything. I dunno how the car does not reak of pot, as both of them circle it a couple of times. Thankfully, all of the weed was in the glove box and he never asked to search it. My friend that got caught had like 4 bowls worth left, so we smoked those on the way home. On Monday at school, both of us got suspended for 10 days and can't walk at graduation.

All my teachers are allowing me to make up the work, so it's basically a 10 day free period.

That really blows that you cant walk... I am looking foward to walking in A couple of months its like the Final act i will ever do in highschool. But all in all sounds like an interesting night.

Wow. Can you say that it was worth it now?

Geez, too bad all of those people are so narrow-minded. As if they have any right to stop your from graduating because of this, even though it's about academics and not personal life. This is one other reason why our education system is shit. But on another level, you are at fault for making a stupid mistake like this.

That sucks :( My high school did the same thing last year, if you went to any school event drunk/high they'd stop you from walking on graduation. They went as far to say that if you said anything bad about the school on the INTERNET, they could stop you. Which pissed me off cause my blogs and such were full of criticism against them.

They're getting crazy these days...

dont sweat it man. it may seem like a huge deal now, but it really isnt. especially if u go to a hugeass public school.

First I would like to commend you for your writing skills. I don't know how long you've frequented these boards, but more often than not the writing is atrocious an shows a direct lack of education.

That being said, there were a few glaring mistakes in your night at Prom. It was a big night that, as you will undoubtedly agree, in hindsight warranted as much precaution as you could muster.

1. When you leave your car, make sure EVERYTHING is off. Every. Single. Time. Don't leave anything on, especially if police are patrolling the parking lot.

2. Hide all contraband in your trunk, not under the seats in the main section of the vehicle.

3. Eye drops are your friend if you and your friends will be under the scrutiny of various authorities. Always take the extra minute or two to pass them around before entering under the bright lights.

Anyway, enjoy the 10 day break! I've never understood the rationale behind suspension, but... whatever!
