hello mate,im a hydro man and never came across slime on roots b4 what kind of set up you got,if possible try to gentle wash the slime of with a spray gun, good luck.b carefull when handling your roots:thumbsup:
haze- dwc 4 gal, 1 plant under cfls, hps 24/7 water temp 76 ph 5.8 master kushxnl - The slime appears to be from the nute solution, I dont see any discoloration on the roots or with the leaves. Just want to be OVER cautious as it my first dwc grow
1 wash the hell out of the system, clean the res
Now do not panic a very LITTLE BLEACH, TO KILL ANY LIVE GROTH.
Now cover the root bucket with black plastic, cover all of the res.
slime ain't good, clean is good.
After your last wash use about 1TEA spoon of hydron proxide , run 3 cycle of water.
Now you system should be normal
Listen to oldsanclem and try to get the rez temp down just a little. It's not real bad but 68 to 70 will help too.
thanks for the advice, ill be switching to new tub and ill clean the old one as discussed
thanks
ok got the setup cleaned and flushing, attached is a pic, notice the lack of "green" around the leaf edges?(not yellowing) Will this work itself out once the nute cycle is started agian?
