black smoke
hey. i was looking around the house for things to make a bowl out of, and i found a socket to a wrench. it is a nice size, but i put it under a flame, and all of a sudden black smoke rises from it, and it starts to turn black. the black is easily whiped off, but im wondering because i heard sockets are safe to make bowls out of, whats going on here?

Funny story about black smoke...
1 night of taking knife hits, my buddy is serving me up. We were taking them out of a plastic pepsi bottle. I got 100% plastic hit, cause he was ripped and got the sides baaad. I didn't even see it, and took it like a champ.. my friends told me the smoke was compeletly black, and I puked immedietly. Glass only LOL

its not grease. i just washed it and did it again. i held it, and put the flame on both ends to try, one at a time. both ends produced black smoke.

yea, i thought it had something to do with the flame because the socket didnt seem as it was deteriating at all when the smoke rose. is there any "clean" flame i can use and not get this black smoke? like would matches still create this?
