Comcast is a joke

I say: Go Fuck yourself, Comcast!

Story: I recently moved into an apartment with my girlfriend, we hook up what I thought was the antannae for basic TV channels and lo and behold, we get free cable! Cool. SO I figure we can definitely get cable internet, and I figure if they discover the free cable and disconnect it but i get internet (much more important to me) than that will be ok. So I call them (i live in a rural area so they are the only cable provider) and the dumb bastards tell me that they dont provide *any* service to my building. Ive called 4 or 5 times now, but I get the same stupid shit. They are stupid. The problem is I cant tell them that Im getting free cable from them right now, so I keep saying "well my neighbors are getting cable internet, why cant I?" "Uh...sorry sir...our files show that we dont provide any service whatsoever to your building, so uh...im not sure how your neighbors are getting cable....Do they have a dish on the side of their apartment? Its possible they are getting DirectTV...Here, let me transfer you to them..*Click*..

Are you sure it's Comcast??? A lot of apartment complex's hook up with random cable companies to provide service and lock out Comcast. I used to live in an apartment like that. We could only get this seriously crappy cable with about 20 channels, we couldn't even get Comedy Central. We found out that the company was paying the apartment complex for the privalege of being the only cable provider to the entire place. Sucked.

That sounds like what might be happening, its probably included in the rent.

We don't have comcast here, instead we have charter.

At my old apartment complex, I was trying to get internet...and they send crap mail to everyone in my complex daily offering their services.

So I call them up...and they literally told me that if I wanted to get internet that I need to get everyone together in my complex and pay them 20,000$ if we want them to install internet and cable tv to us.

Mind you, my complex only had 7 units.

I couldn't believe they actually told me that.

Luckily though a local company did offer services.

So are you sure that you are getting cable from Comcast and not somewhere else???

comcast fuckin sucks!!!not only does their product suck, our internet (and everyone we know that has comcast) just randomly stops working for awhile then will turn back on but their service sucks too.
