dammit

i need to quit my job today. the thing is, we lost the girl that answers phones(its a pizzaria) almost a month ago, so now its just me, the boss and another cook working inside(excluding 3 drivers). so when i quit its only 2 insiders, so the boss will be reallly upset. ive never quit before(my last two jobs i moved away from so it wasnt really quiting in my opinion) so can anyone suggest a good way to leave this kind of establishment? what should i say and when? i work today from 5-9. should i quit when i get there or when i leave?

Give them 2 weeks notice very politely. Then you can still walk away with a good reference for future employment.

Yup.

I have quit without notice before, but only for the jobs that treated me like complete shit. If you don't hate your boss and/or want a good reference in the future, give him two weeks notice.

Make sure that you give them sufficient hand written notice and make sure you have another job to walk into!

When I was 13 I asked my local pizzeria for a job and I got it washing dishes for a 1$ an hour... the 1$ an hour was cheap,,,but I was young and back then stuff was a lot cheaper... Well I was ok till the owner and his Italian friends started laughing and pointing at me while speaking Italian,,,every other sentence the name George Washington came out and they all laughed while pointing at me... This came about on a Friday which was their busiest night... I worked the whole next week to the next Friday and like hung around and let all the pots pans and dishes back up,,,then I took my red and white striped shirt off and handed it to the owner,,,I pointed at him and laughed while I was saying Mussolini ahhahahaha Mussolini Ahhahahaha...
