ocean forest can be too hot for seedlings. start w/ light warrior
I assume that ocean forest would be good for transplanting rooted clones that have been in soil for a couple of weeks, and then would be good for the remainder of the grow?
I am using the fox farms 3 part organic (ish) ferts, big bloom, grow big and tiger bloom.
The ferts worked well in the junk soil I was able to get this winter at home depot.
I am using Ocean Forest right now and have already harvested nearly a dozen plants which all came out very healthy and tasty. There is a thread about it at icmag.com where another grower said he thought it gave his buds an odd flavor but I did not notice that in any of the 5 different strains that have come from it so far so am still using it (just bought another 6 bags in fact!).
I use it for planting seeds, starting rooted clones and all stages of growth and have not had any problems whatsoever using it and it has been used straight from the bag with no amending in all cases right from the start.
IOW, I think it's good stuff and will continue using it!
Thanks Maddy, I've been wanting some anecdotal experience like yours.
I will prob add vermiculite to my Ocean Forest anyway, but that'll be it.
