hey guys, any advice on these dresser plans

First, let me say thanks to everyone on this site because I've already learned so much just from lurking around these boards for last couple of months.
So I've finally come up with an idea that seems like it'll work in my apt. As I live in an increasingly irrational and ignorant country (hint, the prez kinda looks like he's a few steps behind on the whole evolutionary chain thing. I mean, does anyone look at this guy and not think of the scene in 2001 with the monkeys bashing each other's skulls in), stealthiness is my main concern. So, I've decided to hollow out this old dresser of mine (approx. 30 in. W x 40H x 18D ) and cram that into a double-wide closet. I was gonna go with some form of soil mix mostly for simplicity's sake as I'm a first-timer. For light, I've been looking at some 150W HPS security floodlights that are between 40-50 bucks or even less if I'm lucky. I'm also thinking of supplementing this with CFLs (I was thinking of just using 2 free-hanging wired sockets with y-splitting sockets, one on each side of the hps and probably have 2 of the cfls be the odor-killing type, and 2 30W-ers) For ventilation, I found some computer case fans online that are $8 a piece that are about 70 CFM and 21 dBa a piece, which sounds pretty decent to me, and I was figuring I would use 2 of these, one one the back of the cab near the HPS, and I still haven't decided where the other one would go. I also saw these activated charcoal pads online and I was thinking if I put one of those on each side of the 2 vent fans, and hopefully that should cut down the stank factor enough. Oh yeah, and grab some emergency blankets and line as much as I can with mylar. I don't want to go on too long, so I'll summarize the main things on my mind:
a) would the 150 W hps be ok heat-wise in a smallish cab ?
b) can i get away with just the hps to start off with from germ? (backup plan would be to try and start with one 30-50W cfl in a desk lamp, or if I need to I can figure something else out)
c) For a 30x40x18 cab, would SOG of SCROG be a better option? (As of now, I'm gonna start of with some bagseed from some hazey-tasting hydro shake, if that helps things, although if i ever get the cojones to order online, grapefruit and hashberry are the 2 strains that have caught my eye so far)
