but maybe the wording of the rule should be changed. I understand that it isn't tolerated, but the rule does imply that there are loop holes around it. Plus the fact that he felt the need to post that shows some people do actually take the time to read the rules.

But IMO, "generally not tolerated" and "most will be nuked," makes it sound more like it is up to the individual mod as to if it should be deleted or not.

Just a thought.

Well, I kinda see what you mean, but you might be reading into the rules too much. It is always up to the individual mod if a thread/post should be deleted, and posts about other drugs are no different. It's just more of a no-brainer, really.

Maybe that rule is worded that way to factor in human error LOL? Or that we can't promise to find every single thread and delete it? I dunno this is just me guessing...

So I suppose there are loop holes around the rules, but that is due to the fact that us mods don't all have the time or the patience to sit there and search for every single thread. There are bound to be posts slip by us.

IF your posting in Spirituallity Forum on how the Indians use mushrooms/peyote in a ritual or in Medical Forum about a prescription we usually let that slide. The same substances talked about in recreational use is a major nuking.

I agree with you P4B it is best to simply avoid talking about other substances, but to a new member who actually takes the time to read the rules, I feel the wording may be a little misleading. I suppose if you made the rule sound more like a 0 tolerance thing you would have even more people bitching that there thread about *** got deleted but this persons thread about *** hasn't been.

Plus, this topic seems to pop up at least once a month, so I guess the new members can get the hint from one of those threads.

I just wanted to point out to you that the way it is worded does not make it sound like it is forbiden, only frowned upon.

I see where your comin' from.........but this isn't the only issue for the new users. It also states very clear "NO talk of sales/MOM/ or hook-ups allowed" but we still deal with that on a daily basis.

I think what's implied by that rule is we are allowed to metion, say magic mushrooms, in comparision with something else, like LSD - but we are not allowed to talk about taking the mushrooms or LSD - or anything else to do with them.

That's what i understand the rules to be.

Either way - i havnt been in trouble about it yet so hopefully i'm alright.
