Weird/Probably Stupid Q
Is there anyway to take a plant and be able to tell the genetics behind it.....say in a lab or something? Sort of like a paternity DNA test? I have some bagseeds that I LOVE and would really like to know what kind of hybrid it is. Anybody know of any possible way to do that.......oh and keep my freedom as well? :wtf:

Actually, that was a good question. I've heard something along the lines of that, testing the plant to get an idea on it's lineage, but I've never looked into it, so I don't know if it's reliable or anything. But, if you like what you grew, just keep it, by cloning, or inbreeding it a few times, to get it stabalized and select the best traits each time. Eventually, you'll have your own amazing strain.

That was my next thought HB....I know DNA is done with paternity, and animals so that was why I thought maybe....
I grow from seed so as of yet I have not tried to clone anything. I have a good number of these seeds left so when I get down I do intend to do that.
I really love this particular plant and don't want to lose it. ....
Could call it......"The WeedHound" :D

Nice strain name ;). What kind of plant is it? (sativa, indica) Do you have any pictures?

Yeah its not a bad question at all. The law enforcement dicks are starting to use DNA sequencing to track cannabis. They can use this as evidence when trying to link various grow-ops together as being related. Well funny you should ask HB....it's very indica with a super couchlock stone. The name on the bag was "Blue Russian" but who is the daddy? (Or for that matter who's Blue and Russian?) VERY easy to grow....not picky at all.
Speaking of which what is that gorgeous plant in your avatar? Did you grow it?
I just saw your link there D....will check out the article. Thanks. :)
