How do people give even rep? I havnt even got THAT far to understanding it.
What you said sam went right over my head.
hello mate:thumbsup:
Ya what the hell is even rep?
Yeah, Sam, I don't understand that question, either. You mean when you have an even amount of good and bad rep? I don't know what "even rep" means.
Maybe it's like, if you have alot of rep, and somebody who doesn't have much or has negative rep gives you rep and it doesn't make a difference to your rep because of the difference in rep between you... Maybe that's 'even rep'. So if that person gains more rep, does the rep they give you go up retroactively? rep rep rep... :p
Yea I wouldn't say so.. You'd need a huuuuuge database to keep track of every rep ever given, when all we need at the moment is to keep track how much rep each user has and the last five rep points they recieved. With so many members and so much rep being given out it would probably kill the site. lol
yes actually your rep does affect the strength of your rep given.... so does time you've been a member, post count... and i think a couple other things...
i'm guessing the even rep would be when someone 'too small' gives someone big like me rep and it doesn't really do anything... cuz ther's no option for 'even rep' (grey dot) only pos and neg rep (green and red)
And no, when the member gets to the point that their neutral rep starts to count, all the rep he gave that was neutral, stays neutral. They don't change to positive or negative. ;)
