A/C vs Dehumidifier
Howdy folks,
So in my last go around, my dehumidifier in conjunction with the changing seasons caused temps to go up into the 90s in the grobox in the weeks before harvest. Not so nice. I just framed a window A/C unit into the box, and temps are down to a cool 68 with the thing on full blast. I do NOT have any sort of inline fan attached to the hood, just a fart fan circulating. Moreover, and here's where it gets good, the A/C pulls just as much if not more humidity out of the air than the Delonghi 50 pint dehumidifier, and uses less electricity (I think), only 500 watts. I almost bought a Vortex fan yesterday, but after installing the A/C (only cost 90 bux) I found out I don't need to air cool the hood.
I pulled over a p out of the box with 95 degree temps (not to mention other epic problems), can't wait to see what it produces at a cool 68ish. The dehumidifier is going into early retirement after only 2 months of service, lol.
Hope this helps someone,
BUDLUV.
p.s. Sensi Star this time. Yum.
p.p.s. the server was busy last time I tried to post this, so I had to type the WHOLE thing over again. :upsidedow
