if they germed they will come out. wait a bit longer. the postman.
hey postmandave, right after i posted that i got aggrivated and dug em up, their tap root was shriveled and yellow, it didnt just happen with the sensi star either.....it did it to my Neville haze and skunk special. going to germ some more and buy new soil. the soil i had was in my closet for acouple of months.
Hey man,
I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles, but I am 100% sure the problem is not related to the age of your soil. Using newer soil will not give you any better luck on the next set. It's something else with your germing method. Its hard to say for sure, but if I had to guess based on what you posted, I would think you may have given too much water too often too soon. Or, could be the way you handled or planted the germed seeds. I am a firm believer in germing directly in the soil. Once they pop through the surface, do not water again at all until that container is almost completely dry. If you must soak or paper towel your seeds first, once you have moved that popped seed to a home in cup of wet soil, don't water it again at all until it's completely dry. Also, no matter what soil you choose to use, make sure it drains good. I suggest starting seeds directly in a mix of seed start soil and perlite. I hope the next set does better for you man.
Mine are all clones ;)
So sorry man. I should have read more first. My experience rooting clones is that they are tricky at best. They don't always take no matter how you go about it. Best chances are with the best shoots though. Small size ones from a fast growing thriving plant will do best. Make sure the mom is healthy, fed and under good light so she is in a stage of growth spurt so to say when you clip the cuttings.
